The free trial, and cancelling
How the free trial works, how to cancel it before the first charge, and what happens when tracking ends.

How the trial works
- alwaystracked comes with a 14-day free trial for a website and an email address that have not used us before. There is one trial per website and one per email address, ever; a repeat order is taken as a paid one, and the order form says so before you pay.
- The trial starts when you complete checkout, not at the first check, so days spent setting up count towards the 14.
- We take a card at checkout and charge nothing during the trial. The first charge is the monthly price - plus VAT in the UK - on day 15. The date is in your dashboard under Settings, and Stripe shows it before you pay.
- To cancel during the trial, an owner uses Cancel trial in the dashboard, under Settings and then Billing, or emails us. Tracking carries on until the trial ends and nothing is charged.
- Once the first charge is taken, the plan's usual terms apply: monthly, no minimum term, thirty days to stop. Orders with extra tracking packs, and the other plans, have no trial.
Where to see when it ends
While the trial runs, a strip across the top of every dashboard page says how many days are left and when the trial ends. Settings shows the same moment and what the first charge will be. Both are in your market's time, written like 06:00 UK time on a UK plan and 1:00am ET on a US one.
Cancelling during the trial
- Sign in as an owner and open Settings.
- Under Billing, choose Cancel trial.
- Choose Yes, cancel the trial.
Tracking carries on until the trial ends, then stops, and nothing is charged. Settings and the strip at the top of each page then say when tracking stops.
Only an owner can cancel; editors and viewers are told to ask one. If the cancellation does not go through, Settings says so: try again, or use Ask us or write to hello@alwayscited.com, and we cancel it.
Stopping a paid plan
Once the first charge is taken, there is no cancel button in the dashboard. The plan's terms are monthly, no minimum term, thirty days to stop. To stop it, an owner uses Ask us under Billing in Settings, or writes to hello@alwayscited.com.
If your Settings says billing is handled by your account contact, your plan is billed through them: ask them instead.
When tracking ends
When a plan ends, no more checks run. Everything read so far stays in the dashboard: anyone on the team can still sign in, read it and download it. The dashboard says tracking has ended, and an owner can ask us to restart it.
Your data
Stopping a prompt or a cluster deletes nothing, and neither does a plan ending: on a tracked account, what each engine said every day is kept for the life of the account.
